Introduction to the Catalogue - WebPAC

WebPAC stands for web enabled Public Access Catalogue. It makes it easy for you to use many of the library’s services online:
  • make best use of the library resources
  • search for books and articles in the Library collection
  • view your record and renew current loans
  • reserve a book currently on-loan to someone else
  • view the latest 'Featured Reading Lists

It makes the Library accessible 24/7 and ensures that the library is the main information support for learning and teaching in IADT.

Why Dewey Decimal Classification?

The main library collection is organised using the Dewey Decimal Classification system. This means that the shelves are ordered from '000' to '999' - each segment denoting a broad subject area.

Example:

300.xx... Main Subject = Social Sciences
370.xx... Main Subject = Education
378.xx... Main subject = Higher Education
